Fucked Up Bugs

The first piece in the Creatures Lie Me Collection, Fucked Up Bugs, is a large scale rug created using a tufting gun. Giving bugs arms and legs similar to humans, the artist personifies the creatures in a fun and bright way. This series is inspired by the omnipresence of bugs and other creatures that humans deem as inferior. It inspires the viewer to see these “pests" in a different light, viewing them as creatures like us. This collection had the honor of participation in a show curated by GG of Green Goodies. In the LOUD Gallery, GG curated a beautiful collection of work by various midwest artists all along the theme of the Joy of Learning.
The bugs and title are inspired by another design, a photograph with pen illustration over it titled Wouldn’t It Be Fucked Up If Bugs Were Like That?
